A transfer programme: you start here (usually after HSC or A-levels) and, with good grades, move on to a university to finish a bachelor’s, with your credits counted. The receiving university sets the grades it needs.
Transfer requirements
To start: Year 12 completion with at least a 70% average, English, Pre-calculus and Chemistry (60%+) and 2 more academic Year 12 subjects.
To transfer: Finish Acadia's Certificate of Applied Science with at least a D- in every course and a GPA of 2.00 or more. You then go automatically into Year 3 of a Dalhousie BEng (chemical, civil, environmental, electrical, industrial, mechanical). Apply by 30 April.
English: IELTS 6.5 overall, no band below 6.0
From Bangladesh: HSC with at least Second Division or 50% (First Division or 60% in required courses); the engineering certificate itself asks for a 70% average. Have official transcripts sent from your Bangladeshi institution, with course descriptions; Acadia evaluates them itself. It is not confirmed that the transfer guarantee covers international students: Acadia says CAS graduates are automatically accepted to Dalhousie; neither Acadia nor Dalhousie says whether this covers international students. Nova Scotia PAL needed for the study permit; 2026 national cap 309,670 applications (Nova Scotia 8,480). Check study-permit status for the move to Dalhousie.

Fees, intakes and entry requirements change often. Check the current application fee and requirements on the university’s programme page.
