Apply afterAfter HSC · transfer route
A transfer programme: you start here (usually after HSC or A-levels) and, with good grades, move on to a university to finish a bachelor’s, with your credits counted. The receiving university sets the grades it needs.
Transfer requirements
To start: Secondary school completion with at least a C (60%) in Grade 11 maths for most programmes. Engineering Foundations also needs English, pre-calculus and science grades.
To transfer: Engineering Foundations (one year) leads to second-year engineering at SFU and UBC through pathway agreements, if the GPA and course conditions are met. Ask whether international students qualify. Other courses transfer under the BC Transfer System.
English: IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL iBT 83 / Duolingo 110 / PTE 56
From Bangladesh: HSC as high school graduation equivalent, plus C (60%) or better in Grade 11-level maths for most programmes. Detailed course outlines from the institution are required for courses taken outside BC. Warning: transferring in any earlier course makes you ineligible for the engineering guaranteed pathways. It is not confirmed that the transfer guarantee covers international students. UBC/UVic guarantee has no domestic-only limit (UBC needs Fall start, GPA 3.3), but SFU assured admission is domestic only: international students compete for SFU seats. BC PAL needed.

Fees, intakes and entry requirements change often. Check the current application fee and requirements on the university’s programme page.
