Apply afterAfter HSC · transfer route
A transfer programme: you start here (usually after HSC or A-levels) and, with good grades, move on to a university to finish a bachelor’s, with your credits counted. The receiving university sets the grades it needs.
Transfer requirements
To start: Secondary completion with about a 60% average, including English (ELA 30-1 level) and maths or other academic subjects. International students must speak to an MHC advisor first.
To transfer: MHC has transfer agreements with the Universities of Alberta, Calgary, Saskatchewan and Regina, plus Athabasca University. Each university sets the grade it needs. Education can be finished at MHC with Mount Royal University.
English: IELTS 6.0 (no band below 6.0); 7.0 (no band below 7.0) for advanced-English programmes
From Bangladesh: HSC accepted: its courses equate to Alberta 30-level (English and maths to 30-1). Grades: A+ 90%, A 80%, A- 70%, B 60%, C 50%. Official post-secondary transcripts sent by the institution are assessed; MHC does not publish a Bangladesh-specific rule. Course outlines are normally needed (unconfirmed). University Transfer: Arts takes paper applications only, after an interview (contact IntEd@mhc.ab.ca). Must be 18+. Alberta PAL needed (2026 cap: 32,271 spaces).

Fees, intakes and entry requirements change often. Check the current application fee and requirements on the university’s programme page.
