A transfer programme: you start here (usually after HSC or A-levels) and, with good grades, move on to a university to finish a bachelor’s, with your credits counted. The receiving university sets the grades it needs.
Transfer requirements
To start: Secondary graduation with English 12 (C+), Chemistry 12, Physics 11 (12 advised), Pre-calculus or Calculus 12 (A, or B in both). Competitive: usually a B average in sciences.
To transfer: Finish the one-year Engineering Common Core in one academic year at the minimum CGPA to move into second-year engineering at UBC or UVic. Places in each engineering specialty are then decided by GPA.
English: IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0)
From Bangladesh: Needs a qualification equal to Canadian Grade 12 (UFV's country list could not be read; HSC expected to qualify), plus C+ in English 12 equivalent. Courses from accredited/recognised institutions abroad: detailed outlines (topics, texts, assessment weights). Document evaluation fee for international students; allow 6–8 weeks. It is not confirmed that the transfer guarantee covers international students. Engineering Common Core is on UFV's international list (September start). UBC's transfer guarantee has no domestic-only limit stated; confirm. BC PAL needed.

Fees, intakes and entry requirements change often. Check the current application fee and requirements on the university’s programme page.
